Peter Griffin aka Officer Nasty

An Exclusive Look into Lil Wayne's Florida Mansion...

Damn. Wayne goes hard.
Surprisingly minimalistic. The space looks like it hasn't even been lived in...

BARCODES

Design Barcode out of Tokyo flips something we overlook everyday into a small piece of art. They always find a way to keep things a little more interesting over there, don't they?

Bloodbath Featured on IM Flashy

Much Love to IM-FLASHY for putting us on!

Banksy vs. Robbo

Word is that Banksy has been creepin' in the Regents Canal in Camden. One of his pieces "altered" a ROBBO piece that has been running since 1985. Let me say that again... NINETEEN EIGHTY FIVE. Imagine someone going over a MARE139 burner or a car by DONDE or COPE...that is a disrespectful "fuck you" in the graffiti world. Although going over each other is common in the streets, painting over a legend-more or less a piece that has been up for 25 years, is not acceptable. It's very rare for someone to see a sample of graffiti's foundational styles- from decades ago, in it's original format: on a wall or train.
Here is the original piece by ROBBO:

BANKSY with the "Buff" ?

On Christmas Day, a few days after Banksy, ROBBO comes back and takes what is his...

The creativity of this "Battle", and an assumption that they respect each other, leads me to believe that this could be staged or a collaboration... but either way, a piece of history is gone.

LINDSAY LOHAN X MUSE

Lohan doing the most acting she's done in years (or arguably not acting at all) is seen smoking, rolling around in bed, kissing a guy and another girl, looking like she's on a week-long bender- all of this in the video below.

Beautiful, isn't it?

Air Ed Hardyfreshener.

I've received strange gifts for Christmas over the years, but I would say this joint tops it off so far:

Some things are so corny, and so wack - that it actually reverts to funny and "so-funny-its-dope".

I mean, check the flaming tiger on the tee shirt shaped freshener...wow.

Mayer Hawthorne Interview : The Vinyl Junkie (Hypebeast)

The homie Mayer Hawthorne provided Hypebeast with an exclusive interview. The talk covers his history, inspiration, Stones Throw, his debut album "A Strange Arrangement" (One of the dopest releases of 2009 in my opinion) and the future of Mayer Hawthorne. Check it out here.

SPACEJAM'S

I was ten years old when the movie Space Jam came out. So naturally a movie involving cartoon's and Michael Jordan was a no brainier to go see.

It was during the movie that I saw the 3rd color way of the Air Jordan XI; the color was Black/Varsity Royal-White. After the movie's release these shoes were forever dubbed "The Space Jams".

As a shoe collector these kicks are personally one of my favorite pairs of sneakers, they are my "HOLY GRAILS". This year the Jordan-brand has decided to give us a great holiday gift and give the "Space Jams" a 2ND re-release. If you are in the orange county area BTNC will have these available TODAY @ 11:30, they will be raffled.

Karate Kid

This is a re-imagining and will borrow elements of the original plot, where a bullied youth (Jaden Smith) learns to stand up for himself with the help of an eccentric mentor (Jackie Chan).

A Message from Prodigy to Russell Simmons and HipHop Summit.

The terms "Rapper" and "Incarceration" together, do not sound like a new partnership.
A generous number of Hip Hop artists have been in court, jail, prison, and murdered... I'll be honest, I am somewhat numb to all of this. It has all collectively become a part of what Hip Hop does, as if it's a battle between our side and their side. Good and evil exists in both ends of the relationship.

NORE speaks on behalf of Prodigy. The facilitators of Midstate Correctional have been giving him the wrong medications, and don't really give a fuck.
It sounds minor, but Prodigy has sickle cell disease - which can be very painful. The wrong med's can lead to major reactions and even death. Many people are in jails/prisons and are being mistreated. I personally know friends of mine that were beaten by cops in their holding cells, because they answered to racist comments thrown at them. Prodigy is one of these people. He is also a distinct voice in Hip Hop, a voice that our justice system doesn't really care about.

The Art of Digging (LA Beat Swap Meet)

In a day and age where you can find your favorite songs with a few clicks of your mouse and a digital dollar, it's getting harder to dig deeper into the history of the music we love. The Los Angeles Beat Swap Meet welcomes all genres of music - Hiphop, Rock, Punk, World, Latin, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Classical... you name it. But one thing remains constant - it's all on Vinyl. No i-pod touches, no burned CD's, no Mp3 libraries...you find your records the original way: Digging through dusty crates.

Some ill paintings by Ryan Baysa.
